Ziyi discovered his path into music through his passion for dance. Early in his journey, he combined the sounds and styles he loved, creating music that didn’t always conform to industry standards. Music is a very personal endeavour for Ziyi—a powerful way to release emotions—and a means of stepping out of his comfort zone to push the boundaries of his craft.
Staying true to his roots and creating out of the box has always been at the heart of Ziyi’s work. The process is unpredictable but each time offering himself a chance to learn something new about himself.
The track “Off My Mind” showcases how songwriting is often inspired by travel and recording fleeting moments—a habit that allows him to capture his evolving spirit. Through this, Ziyi continues to approach music holistically, from staying creative to being open to new possibilities, wherever and whatever they may be.

“Challenges”, the third episode of the series, highlights Delf’s close collaboration with singer songwriter Ziyi Wang from China on the track “Off My Mind,” which seamlessly fuses the artist’s personal emotions and memories with his experimental approach to music.
Making music is such a freeing experience. Every challenge teaches me something new. I don’t focus on chasing specific results; I just take it one step at a time, letting inspiration and progress come naturally. It’s all part of the journey.
